The LC80 was a Z80 based training computer from East Germany. It was introduced somewhere around 1985, but had a short life due to the German reunion. It was discontinued immediately.
Me – being the dinosaur that I am – can’t keep my fingers away from ancient technology. So I embarked on a quest to revive this thing and have a heap of fun with it.
The picture was made during the search of a mean bug, which turned out to be my own incompetence. I left a control line dangling without a pull-up or pull-down resistor, which caused the IO circuitry to output data on the data bus. Which in turn messed up the memory readout. That mess took me two days to figure out 🙁
